Socrates thought about this 2,400 years ago. Can we teach virtue? And actually his answer is kind of ambivalent in one of the platonic dialogues that may not be said, no. He says, I don't see any teachers of virtue to you. So it must be that nobody can teach you. But then in the protagoras, which is interestingly a dialogue with a major sofist, Socrates changes his mind. Now he says, all right, I guess virtue is a type of techno.
