Is There a Gun in the House?

My wife doesn't mind guns, but had a dramatic experience in her childhood when some one pulled a gun on her brother while she was in the same room. I want to be sensitive to her anxieties and worries from that experience, but also want to be able to defend my family if it becomes necessary. Tough situation. A tramatic experience with the firearm is going to leave a mark for sure. She can have to make the changes herself. And if you try to do these things for her and she doesn't do them in the way that you want them to be done, you're going to keep brushing on that resentment,. So that would be my advice.
