The First Presidency of the Council of Twelve

President Kimball asked me to conduct a prayer circle. He then nominated his counselors and Eldon Vanner's first counselor, Mary and G. Romney. They were unanimously appointed and approved. Then Elder Ezra Tefmancine nominated Spencer W. Kimball to be the President of the Church. This was second by Elder Mark E. Peterson and unanimously approved. At this point, all the members present laid their hands upon the head of SpencerKimball.
