How Does the Brain Find the Smoke Detector?
The auditory system is using a different frame of reference for figuring out where the sounds are. A sound located off to this side will arrive in this ear first, and it will be slightly louder in this ear. So i've been really interested in how does the brain put these two signals into a common frame of reference so that you can do things like use lip reading cues to help you understand what someone is saying?
