Anissa and Morgan believed that after killing Peyton, they would be welcomed into Slender Man's secret home known as Slender Mansion. The girls planned to kill Peyton in her sleep during a slumber party at Morgan's house. Anisa instructed Peyton to lie face down on the ground and cover herself in sticks and leaves but it was really a ploy to render her defenseless. Inexplicably, Peyton agreed to go along even after an incident in the bathroom.
