The Shift in UFO Stories Over Time
A cynic might think that it's quite useful for the defense industry to be subject to stories about unidentified potential threats. In fact, it's not really even cynical because it's something we know has actually happened back when they were testing certain high altitude planes like the U2 or the SR71. Back then there was actually lots of stories about how the government was about to reveal the truth of UFOs. And this is kind of a cycle we see in uofology. The big new thing, always just around the corner, never actually arrives. We'll see.
