Animals Are Not for Eating
In the west, in sort of the dominant colonial world view, we think some animals are worth protecting and saving. But when you try to find a common thread between the animals that people care about most, it's often really hard to figure out what links them. Take whales for example. To day whales are one of the species that i think most people think of as untouchable. The idea of mass whale hunting is often used as an example of one of the terrible things that humans do.
