Is There a Difference Between Whole Grain and Refined Grain Diet?

The sugar intake in these two diets is between 122 and 128 grams per day, which when you look at that in the context of these diets were around 2000 calories per day, as a percentage, that's actually pretty high. But it's still worth noting that there is certainly not very low sugar intakes we're seeing in either diet here. So yeah, I think this was, again, an interesting study limited by its small sample size, well conducted and controlled. Overall suggesting that whole grains have a beneficial stimulatory effect on insulin secretion compared to refined grains.
