The Importance of Proverbs in Chinese Life Views
I was wondering if you could briefly sort of talk about proverbs in general for listeners who will be unfamiliar. And then talk about how you analyze them as a way to understand Chinese life views. Sure. Well in general, proverbs study is very much falling behind in terms of folklor studies in general. Studies of fairy tale myth and other genres are pretty much advanced to the update level in China right now. But proverbs are little studied because traditionally proverbs which defined it differently.
