How to Stop Being an Emotional Caretaker
When you feel the urge to swoop and take control, try doing the opposite. Step back and see what happens. Take that leap of faith. Observe what happens to the other person. Not all emotions are called to action. Emotions are meant to motivate us, but they also are meant to be unloaded. In relationships, it's important to understand the difference between venting and when you're trying to resolve something.
