Is There a Right to Judgment and Shame?
The core question that my book asks is what does it mean to feel like you are a reasonable person with the right to judge other people. There are lots of examples in the book and I'll talk about a couple. One is incredibly interesting about the community app Next Door, which we all kind of quote unquote love to hate. It is generally people talking about how someone may burgle them and yet they don't get burgled. What is this as an example of reasonableness and unreasonableness and how something can slip into bigotry with Next Door?
