There's two opinions. One is someone named a james freek, who was just, i think it is just noted in some a bibliographical material somewhere, but no one knows anything about him. Another opinion is john french, who was an alchemist. And that sort of seems to be the prevailing opinion. But what's interesting is the astrology is just so butchered in that translationthat it sort of makes me question that i don't have a good explanation why he would have made the mistakes that he did.
