The Importance of Motherhood in the Church
There is simply no women's equivalent in our church to that of men holding the priesthood. This tired cash phrase that men have the priesthood but women have of motherhood is gas-lighty, ungenuine and perpetuates the belief that a woman's worth depends solely on giving up her identity as she serves others. We don't see women for their true selves. We see them as eligible wombs to bring forth the chosen generation and design. A man in the church can receive the priesthood at any time past the age of 11. At no point is its ordination contingent upon his marital status. Even a member of the state Kite Council does not necessarily have to be married to hold
