Is Self Control a Depletable Resource?

The ability to directly attend to something, to focus intently, is a limited resource that can wane the more we use it. We also know there's flexibility around how we use that resource. So for example, i can get more tired after focusing really hard on a difficult problem and may be less inclined to exert self control. But i can also easily re frame how i'm thinking about the experience in that moment that i'm fatigued, and then exert control effectively.
