The Peasantry in Romania Is Not a Delicacy

There's an uprising in like 1907, right? Which is you know pretty recent still in 1914. King Frederick doesn't want to get involved in World War one because he doesn't feel like he has a good handle on the peasantry kind of as they go into this period. Kenyan in his book notes that the peasantry in Romania is quote so comprehensively exploited that they were effectively paying their landlords for the privilege of working. So there's this protest outside of the mayor's house and these peasants including John dohescu wind up yelling at the estate manager who's again kind of like some middle manager type guy. And he throws a rocket one of them and it hits dohescu in
