Trump flirted with violence for years, and when it finally spilled on to the steps of congress, the g o p could have stepped back and hit paws on their rhetoric. But they haven't. They're using those lies right now to justify increasingly restrictive voting laws across the country. And on top of that, the democratic party has not taken any real steps to shore up our democratic institutions.
