Was There Any Truth Claims Church History Deconstruction at That Time?

Post mormon story founding. Was there any truth claims or historical deconstruction? There were some just learning more about who joseph smith was. And it was just little bit by bit, and then, even in my head, i just started thinking about other people who have started churches. I think that sounds like what, like, his, the people who are against him, would maybe have a story of propaganda saying that he's a common artist. That makes sense to me.
