I Think the Biggest Weakness in Riley's Game Is His Penalty Kill Impact
Riley has never had a season with a negative penalty differential in his NHL career. His anticipation and defensive stick is so good that at five on five he can basically if he thinks he's not gonna win a race or a battle he can switch off and then jump to the next play. He plays against other teams best players especially this year for example a ton of defensive zone draws where he's starting in sort of disadvantageous positions but just doesn't really historically take penalties.
