Is the Fed Treating Inflation Like It's an Emergency?
Maybe the fed's tough talk on fighting inflation is what kept the gold market down. But it didn't seem to do anything to lift the dollar. i'm going to watch very closely the trading patterns to see if there has been some type of change in the perception that the markets have with respect to future fed policy. Defetis ready to fight, and they will do whatever it takes, using the tools they have, to bring the inflation rate back down to two %. Nothing else matters. They are lazer focused on this return to two % inflation.
