The coffee spilled in her lap and she had massive third degree burns over a large percentage of her body. She spent weeks in the hospital and months recovering. Afterwards, her family asked mac donald to pay her medical bills,. And so this woman's family sued mac donald's in a tort case. They learned that there were hundreds of burn cases just like theirso tort cases reveal information to the public that wouldn't otherwise be known. It is an infringement on our right as individuals to sioux corporations that hurt people. Tort reform only hurts us.
