She applied for a diplomatic role at the United States State Department but was rejected. After losing half of her leg to sepsis she returned to work as a clerk. But soon after Stalin threatened Estonia with war, Hall was ready to act. In her 30sshe would build a network of spies,. train French resistance forces, and mastermind one of the most astonishing prison escapes - becoming the Gestapo's most wanted target.
