The Iliad and Homer

The Iliad is a work of incredible depth. Do you think there was one person called Homer that stitched this whole thing together? The Odyssey just has an open its eyes on a different world and its language is somewhat different from the Iliads. We know what the Greeks 400 or 300 years later said about him.
