Mike Downey: Most kids over two probably already know what they did was wrong. Do we want to cause extra shame or even do we want to, you know, the possibility of causing extra shame? If it's something big and huge and egregious, then maybe, yeah, you'd like to revisit. But I'd save that for important things. He says instead of teaching slash correcting, can we just come with connection? And can we allow the natural consequences of life?
