My dad was in the sanitation department. So he always, you know, kind of knew about what civil service as was coming up. He told me that we would have to take a civil service test when we turned 18. The fire department was the only one i took. I did pretty well on the written test. That's how i was able to even make the list. And it still took four years for them to get to my name.
