The first kind of music events that i went to were like the elts lodge show. Downtown ala was a bombed out, weird, scary cultureless waste land. The atomic cafe had this punk rock juke bo ran. And then next door there was the brave dog. For people who don't rememberwho weren't around downtown l a in the early eighties.
