Stonewall Jackson and the Union Right
Thomas Stonewall Jackson was a Confederate general during the Civil War. He and his men were hit by friendly fire as they tried to push Union forces back from Chancellorsville, Virginia. While he languishes in a field hospital, Bobby Lee's soldiers continue pushing the Union lines back. On May 10th, at 3.15 p.m., Stonewall startles out of a deep opium-induced sleep. He calls out, Order AP Hill to prepare for action. Pass the infantry to the front. Push up the columns. Haze in the columns. Let us cross over the river under the shade of the trees. With that, Thomas Stonewal Jackson dies.
