The PMIs Yesterday Showed a Soft Picture on the Manufacturing Side of Economies
In the PMIs yesterday there was the hope that maybe manufacturing would pick up a bit in the various parts of the world to show that there was some resilience in those economies. But instead generally manufacturing down services up, particularly for Germany and definitely for the United States. The key concern here looking forward is whether you know there's softness in the manufacturing side of economies which is in ordinary cycles usually a reasonable leading indicator of what will happen to the broader economy.
