The History of the Espionage Act of 1917

One of the laws that has been invoked as the basis for these charges against President Trump is the Espionage Act of 1917. The two other counts are not about President Trump's taking classified information but are about his alleged obstruction of the investigation into this. So often what happened in the Mueller investigation they would investigate somebody who wouldn't find a crime but they would turn the person into criminals during the investigation, says Peter Bergen.
