Girls Who Code
Central York Pennsylvania School District has called reports of the ban quote categorically false. The district says that the books were merely banned in classroom instruction for a short period of time. Girls who code along with many other titles we've featured on the Velshe Band Book Club was included on a so-called comprehensive resource list given to teachers after George Floyd's murder in 2020. It may not have been individually targeted, but it was banned anyway.
