How Does Suffering Produce Glory?

There are so many different kinds of suffering, and to paint something as awful as personal suffering with a broad brush is a very dangerous thing to do. I'm talking about a diagnosis or a loss, or an interruption or a betrayal. How is any of that in any way connected to something like glory? Look, and you'd hear me say that there is nothing intrinsically noble about suffering. Sometimes pain just hurts, and suffering is just sad.
