The ancient philosopher aristotle thought movement on earth worked in a certain way. He believed that there were five elements, earth, water, fire, air and ether. The twentieth century philosopher thomas kune was struck by aristotl's beliefs about motion. Kune knew that objects fall because of gravity, not because of their elemental make up.
