The Problem of the Declination of the Family Is So Much Bigger Than Most Policy Levers
The decline of the family is so much bigger even than most policy family policy wonks appreciate. There are kind of two different types of fertility decline. One is women who are married who are having one kid when really before they would have had two or three and then there's women who are just not getting married not having kids at all. The way that we're structured right now is not creating the conditions for that to even occur where you can even have the choice to have one child or not.
