The Importance of Translating a Book

I don't often have the chance to say that a book I've read as well as being really illusinatory is genuinely a pleasure to read, but I feel confident in doing so here. Obviously also translating a book was helped a lot by the fact that I know Gigi and so I'm familiar with his style. There are a lot of words in his work that there aren't really a good English equivalent for a really good one being assemblage or a jeon smol. But at the same time there's the risk that if you leave a word in the original language it can be seen as kind of academic an academic concept or a difficult concept when actually it's not supposed
