The Faith Perspective on Immigration

The Catechism of the Catholic Church does not take a simplistic yes or no position on immigration. It doesn't treat immigration as an unlimited human right that must never be denied even when it's done illegally. The situation is too complex and needs to be sorted out through public and legislative debate based on local conditions.
