Evidence to guard our practice on this is very varied, and actually has some pretty significant flaws when we think about applying the results to clinical practice. One set of work regarding the evidences, saying that i o is associated with worse outcomes. The other is saying that it doesn't matter, or actually might even be potentially beneficial. So what about when we're going to use it then? Well, in the introduction, we've already touched on the fact that intra osseous access is often reached for when ivy access is predicted to be, or has, in fact, already been proven to be difficult.
