Is There a Big Challenge in the Food Industry?
Two quick examples come to mind. One in the food industry called meaty and another one in the chemicals industry called debut, both portfolio companies of ours. Meaty is an alternative protein company. They're growing mycelium, which is the roots of mushrooms in these big bioreactors that they've built in their production facilities in Boulder. Debut bio has taken cell fermentation to the next level with a very innovative approach where they can use fermentation and biology to make things without actually having to grow the cells.
