Do You Have the Right Objective Function?

Computer science was founded on the idea of that is about all about algorithms. And I think now we've progressed in other half decade or whatever. Now, maybe more of the focus is on saying, yeah, okay, you got the algorithms, you've got the data. What you really should be thinking about now is do you have the right objective function? Are you optimizing the right thing?
