The Importance of Small Caps in the Market
Small caps in my opinion tend to lead the broader market by anywhere from three weeks to maybe a month and a half or thereabouts. The contour of that is it's heavily weighted to a lot of these banks which have clearly be under pressure with first republic being an unmitigated disaster. If regional banking credit standards are going to be tighter right in the wake of the SVB and what's going on here with first republic it's going to be harder to get credit for smaller businesses, she says.
