The Battle of Stamford Bridge - The Story of Hadrada
The norse king was in his element, he arranged his line into not a line. Instead, he ordered his army like a game of neptaple. His warriors were formed into a circle, one that was equally thick all the way around. In the centre of the ring would be the norse archers as well as hadrada and his retinue. But not yet. His army still needed orders, and they needed to see their commander. So hadrata donned his famous coat of mail, so long that it ached his mid leg and so thick that it had never been pierced.
