I think we need to move the conversation up a level and acknowledge that the oversight in DeFi already exists. There's already human oversight over these things. If you exclude 99% of people from open permissionless finance, then all you've done is make a more complicated, more expensive trad-fi system. That's not acceptable to most of the people that care about why we're doing this in the first place. I think if that is the outcome, then none of us should be proud of anything that we've been doing to build this whole industry.
