Exploring the distribution of European exceptionalism and British values through colonial rule and the emergence of Orientalist beliefs as a result of scientific and artistic efforts to represent the Orient. The chapter also highlights the policing of European thinkers and Orientalists in shaping the hegemonic image of the Orient.
