Using Quantum Mechanics to Calculate Probability

Quantum mechanics modifies our notion of probability. The best we can do is make some statement about the probability that the electron which was at a yesterday is at B today and how do we compute that? So while we're not watching the electron, we don't know what it was doing. It could have been anywhere. We have to consider all the possible paths that the electron takes from a to B and their rules about how to assign numbers to them. And then we have to add together all those amplitudes to and then square it to find that probability.
