Twister's Position in International Law

In the 1840s Twister had a relationship with metanik and produced publications together, either then published anonymously or in Twister's name. He was arguing for the admission of sub Saharan African peoples into international societies. By the 1870s he started publishing articles about the need to admit non European nations to international society. It wasn't until the late 19th century that such corporations could begin to behave without any approval from any state. And I think Twist is a central kind of figure in that shift.
