The Implications of Brexit for Northern Ireland

There is a significant concern that long-term uncertainty could revive some of the worst violence that happened in Northern Ireland through the troubles. Under the Good Friday or Belfast Agreement, there is a provision for a border poll and that question has been raised. I think however it has made the discussion alive again and so that one's not going to go away either. It comes at a time when Irish politics is also unstable because we had an election which didn't lead to a conclusive result. We've got a minority government which is trying to find its way through a lot of very difficult economic circumstance.
