Is There a Standard Set of Rates for Independent Creators?

There's really no industry standard set. It's not like traditional film or media, where there's unions that lock in certain rates. I would start at one of the bigger companies if you're not wanting to take a risk. A creator is also a creative an artist, someone who feels differently about certain types of content on different days. You have to be okay with that.
