Is This a Liberal Arts University?

In a liberal arts university you're typically required to take classes that are outside your major. It seems like there's a substantial loss to intellectual curiosity for for humanity. But at the same time we live in an incredible age of knowledge with almost unlimited access to information where everyone can live their curiosity as much as they want to.
