What Makes a Housing Recession?
We aim to define what makes a housing recession over several different metrics. The first way is residential fixed investment and the second is housing services. RFI has been declining on a quarter over quarter basis for three consecutive quarters. That's not surprising given that home building has slowed in response to reduced demand from higher mortgage rates.
