Late Night With David Letterman
By 2009, David Letterman was still under contract with CBS and by this point in his career was earning a reported $38 million a year for doing the late show. His next significant relationship was with a woman named Meryl Marko, who he met on the set of Mary Tyler Moore's Variety Show in 1978. The couple never married, but they had a long-term relationship from 1978 to about 1988. He later met his now current wife, Regina Lasko, when she worked as a production staffer on Late Night With David Letterman back in 1986.
