The Cross and the Way of Life

Cain and Abel are two men who came to worship, but they're coming from different places. Cain was not atheistic, ignoring or disputing or doubting the existence of God. But Abel brought a lamb, a weak defenseless, helpless thing that represented nothing more than a dead lamb. And he accepted the principle of the cross to the point of not just setting the blood of his lamb, but even his own blood being shed. No fruit, that labor and study of mind and heart could produce has a way through in the work and service of God.
