The Stoics' Concept of God

Stoics had a particular conception of God, which definitely is not the Christian God outside of space and time. It's clear that what the Stoics mean by God is the sum total of the causal powers that make nature. So when Seneca is saying that we are part of God, that we participate in God, that's what it means. We're part ofnature. More importantly, we are actually blessed with participating in the rational part of nature.
